i really enjoy the angle of the first one, and i love how the left side of her face just disappears. the second one has an interesting composition, and the third one has an awesome use of depth of field, and a nice sense of contrast.
the second photo is my favorite. i love how it looks like a continuation of the first picture since we're not able to see her legs there. i love the angle of the first picture and how she's sitting by a window... it makes from some great contrast!
I love the angles you experimented with for all of your photos. And the contrast of the girl's dark clothes to her brighter surroundings works well too. I think my favorite is the 2nd photo. I really like the composition of just showing her feet/legs and her hands. I like the composition of the 1st photos as well, but I think its a little dark. But I love the angle on this one!
I love all of these pictures. The first one is really nice because the floorboards and window kind of frame the subject, and create flow. I love how you can only see half her face.
I like the second one because it seems like we are talking to the person in the picture, standing over them, having a conversation.
And I really like the depth of field and composition in the third one. The clothes she is wearing create a nice contrast.
Nice expression on the last one- it's really interesting- like she's exasperated or something. I feel like the trees in the background don't fit with her expression- like outside is too happy. ;) I really like the first two. The point of view on the first one makes it really eye-catching to look at, and I love the setting of the Gilchrist Pub with the nice old windows and everything. The second one is nice because you don't see her face but you still get a lot of information on her character from her posture.
My favorite is the first portrait. The angle of the picture would suggest her being a submissive form in the portrait, but her expression gives off that of someone looking down upon you. The high contrast adds to the effect.
The second picture is pleasant to view because of the interesting way it is cropped to view only the lower body and her hands. This gives off the sense of fragility to me.
The last portrait is nice, but I feel the trees in the photo clash with the high contrast and it begins to make my eyes hurt after a few moments of viewing. Aside from the trees, I really like the portrait.
very effective use of perspective and framing in all three images. the first one stands out visually and evokes emotion. i wish that in the first one (if you were to reshoot) that the focus was on her eye instead of her shoulder because her eye seems so powerful in terms of expression. if you wanted to try in editing or in reshoot, you might consider getting a bit more light on her face in the third image. not too much though because the darkness of her hair and clothes works well against the white sky. i also wonder what the second image would look like if you had a tiny bit of the top of her head looking down in the frame??? although it also works as is. light is great in the first image!
The first one looks the most appealing to me. The angle makes the photo look interesting. And I like it how there is a glass window behind your subject. The 2nd one is also good. It says a lot about the person. And makes you think.Good job!!!
I love all the angles that you used in these images. and obviously i dont know her but i feel like in the third picture you get a really good sense of her attitude..kinda like dont mess with me, and her outfit just adds to it. They look great! good job i really cant think of anything to say to change about them.
These are all really good. I like the variety in perspective.

ReplyDeleteI always find your compositions interesting. I like the contrast too. Among these three, I like the top one most.

1. Love the lines…they really centralize on the subject
ReplyDelete2. Tension…lots of tension
3. She looks so sad
